Billy proudly served his Country in the Merchant Marines and the Army. Billy was born Decemin Duplin County to the late Charles Edwin Stephens and Nancy Jane Davis Stephens. Shelva was preceded in death by her husband John "Johnny" Marvin Houston, Jr. She also endjoyed traveling with her husband, Johnny across the US and taking trips with her daughter, Kelly. ![]() Retiring early as a receptionist in the healthcare industry, she devoted the later part of her life to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and grand furbabies. Shelva loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Johnson Baptist Church of Warsaw where she sang in the choir. Shelva graduated from Union High School where she loved playing basketball. Shelva was daughter to the late Clarence Hughes and Annie Lou Bass Hughes of Clinton, NC. She was a loving "Nanny" to her grandchildren Derek, Mitchell, Christopher, Jimmy, Cole and Bailie Ann and great-grandchildren: Ava, Mila and Evie. Shelva was beloved mother to her four daughters Kim, Kelly, Kay, and Kathy. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your local hospice center in memory of the fine care and support they provided.Warsaw - Shelva Jean Hughes Houston, 80, of Warsaw peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Novemsurrounded by family at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Wilmington. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM with the memorial service starting at 3:00 PM. We hope to celebrate Graham’s life with you at Beulaville Free Will Baptist Church on July 16, 2022. His legacy will always be with us as a reminder of the fine man he was. We will miss his joyful love of life and his always present wit. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Betty Jo Frazelle as well as son Barry Frazelle and wife Anna grandchildren Hannah Black and husband Christian, Kristen Frazelle great grandchild Margo Black brother-in-law Roland Edwards as well as many nieces and nephews. Graham is preceded in death by brothers Kenneth, Byron, Jim, and sister Jane. Graham was born in Richlands, NC on February 10, 1933, to the late Roscoe and Sudie Frazelle. Graham Barry Frazelle, age 89, passed away on July 5, 2022, after an extended illness. ![]()
